A section is not a single moulded panel. It is a set of routed and notched components that assemble on site without cutting, which is why the packing list matters as much as the profile drawing.

Choosing the Panel Format: 11.3" or 6" Slats

Both panel formats reach the same 50" panel field height and the same 72" finished fence height. The difference is the vertical rhythm of the face and the number of pieces handled per bay.

Both formats use the same rails, posts and U-channels, so a project can standardise on one section kit and still vary the visual character between elevations.

Posts, Routing and Layout Configurations

Posts arrive pre-routed so the rail positions are fixed at the factory rather than marked on site. We route to the layout the drawing calls for:

• Line post — straight runs between two sections
• End post — run terminations and gate posts on one side
• Corner post — 90-degree changes of direction
• 3-way post — T-junctions and internal subdivisions
• Blank post — drilled or routed on site where a non-standard interface is required

Post size is selected against the exposure of the site and the gate loads carried: 4" x 4" for standard residential runs, 5" x 5" where a heavier visual line or additional stiffness is wanted. Post caps in New England, Flat or Gothic profiles close the top and can be colour-matched or contrasted with the rails.

Material, Colour and Climate Behaviour

The HEE profile is extruded from 100% virgin PVC with no recycled content and no lead. UV protection comes from titanium dioxide in the formulation, and pigments are sourced from established US and German suppliers, so colour is held through the wall of the profile rather than applied as a coating that can flake.

White, tan, grey and cream are the standard colours. Posts, rails and caps can be specified in different colours within the same run, which is how many distributors build a differentiated local offer from one section kit.

Installation Sequence and Site Interfaces

Installation follows the same logic as a wood fence, with the cutting already done. Posts are set first, using the same footing practice the site would use for timber posts — where local practice is to cement wood posts, we recommend cementing the vinyl posts to the same depth and diameter.

1. Set and align posts to the string line, checking spacing against the 94" rail length.
2. Insert the pre-notched bottom, middle and top rails into the routed post holes.
3. Slide the T&G panels into the rail notches and capture the ends with the U-channels.
4. Fit post caps last, after the rails are seated and the bay is plumb.

The aluminum insert in the bottom rail is the component that lifts the assembly beyond light residential duty, because it stiffens the rail that takes the greatest ground-level load. Wind performance depends on the combination of post size, footing depth and rail configuration, so we confirm the post and footing schedule against the exposure of the site rather than quoting a single figure for every installation.

Gates and System Completion

A privacy run is only finished when the access points match. We build gates to the same profile, colour and panel format as the HEE sections, so the fence line reads as one continuous design. The ordering logic is deliberately simple: section + post + gate = complete fence.

Can matching gates be supplied with the fence?

Yes. Gates are built to match the HEE fence in profile, colour and panel format, and gate posts are routed for the hinge and latch side as part of the same order. Supplying gate positions and swing direction with the enquiry keeps the whole run on one production schedule.

How much container space does the fence occupy?
