Every HEC section is a fixed bill of profiles. The rail lengths are cut at 94" so they seat between posts inside the nominal 96" section width, and the notches are positioned at the factory rather than on site.

Installation and Site Interfaces

HEC assembles much like a wood fence, but the routing and notching are already done. Posts arrive pre-routed for their position in the run, rails arrive pre-notched, and the U-channel closes the panel edges.

1. Set posts at the spacing defined by the 94" rail length, using the same footing practice applied to wood posts in the project region.
2. Insert the bottom, middle and top rails into the routed post holes.
3. Slide the tongue-and-groove boards into the rails and fit the U-channel at both ends.
4. Seat the pickets into the top rail and fix the post caps after the run is complete.

We provide video installation guidance and technical support for the assembly sequence, and gates are built to match the fence so the swing and latch hardware line up with the post routing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in one HEC section?

Each section contains one bottom rail, one middle rail, one top rail, seventeen pickets, two U-channels and either eight wide or sixteen narrow tongue-and-groove boards. Posts, post caps and gates are ordered separately so the routing mix matches the layout.

Can the fence be supplied at a height or width other than 72" x 96"?

Yes. The 72" height and 96" width are our standard module, and we produce other heights and widths on request. Changing the module changes the rail and panel cut lengths, so we confirm the target dimensions before releasing the profile schedule.

Is the HEC panel suitable for commercial installations?

The bottom rail accepts an aluminium insert, which we specify for commercial-strength reinforcement. Combined with the heavier post and rail configuration and the notched rail joints, this gives greater resistance to pullout than a light residential assembly.

How are the posts set, and should they be cemented?

We recommend treating vinyl posts the same way as wood posts. Where local practice is to cement wood fence posts, cement the vinyl posts to the same depth and diameter. Post spacing follows the 94" rail length so the rails seat correctly in the routed holes.

Can gates be matched to the fence?

Matching gates are available in the same profile and colour as the HEC run. Provide the opening width and hinge side and we build the gate to suit the post routing.

What colours and cap styles are available?

Colours are White, Tan, Grey and Cream, and posts, rails and caps can be specified in different colours for a contrasted look. Post caps include the New England Cap, Flat Cap and Gothic Cap, with crown caps also available for picket fence runs.
