Frame Components and Standard Dimensions

Each frame is a three-part assembly. The table below shows what ships as standard and which dimensions are set per order.

Post length and rail width are the two variables that decide whether the frame works on site. Material, cap profile, colour and packing stay constant across orders.

How Post Height and Rail Width Are Set

Post height is quoted as above-grade height, not total length. A post set 24" into the ground leaves 58" of the 82" post visible; a shorter embedment in a concrete slab leaves more. Give us the height the sign should sit at and the surface it goes into, and we confirm the post length and the footing detail that matches it.

Rail width follows the board. The 60" rail carries a board up to that width, and wider boards are cut from the same profile family. Board weight matters as much as board width, because a heavy panel concentrates load at the rail-to-post connection, so rail wall thickness is matched to the panel being mounted.

Sign frames are frequently ordered alongside a fence package, so the post line and the boundary line read as one installation. Material, Weathering and Compliance Evidence

Profiles are extruded from 100% virgin PVC with UV inhibitors, impact modifiers and stabilizers, and no recycled content. The compound is lead-free throughout, and our formulation carries titanium dioxide at 10 parts per 100 for non-chalking performance under sustained sun exposure.

Our vinyl systems are rated for service from -40 °C to 70 °C, which covers the temperature swing of Canadian, northern US and northern European installations. Certificates held include CE, RoHS and UL94, supported by an ISO 9001 quality system, SGS and ASTM testing, and a TUV Global Manufacturer Certificate.

Extrusion, Fabrication and In-House Quality Control

Production runs through our own extrusion lines in sequence: extrusion, cutting to length, drilling and notching, then packing and storage. PVC resin, TiO2 and pigments are traceable back to their source, which is what allows a repeat order to match an earlier shipment in colour and wall section.

An independent quality-control group inspects each extruder's output every hour and pulls random samples alongside that schedule. Wall thickness, straightness, colour and cut length are verified before profiles move to fabrication, and the same checks apply to short custom runs as to standard lengths.

Installation and Site Interfaces

• Post setting — treat the vinyl post as you would a timber post. Where local practice calls for concrete, set the post in concrete; otherwise excavate, set plumb and compact the backfill in lifts.
• Plumb and line — check plumb on two faces before the footing cures, since a vinyl post cannot be straightened after the concrete sets.
• Rail and cap — the rail is inserted into the post and the flat cap is fitted after the post is standing, which keeps the cap free of site damage.
• Panel mounting — the frame is supplied as post, flat cap and rail. The sign panel is mounted to the rail, with panel material and fixing hardware selected to suit the board.
• Cleaning — a garden hose rinse handles normal soiling; a mild abrasive cleaner suited to fibreglass surfaces removes stubborn marks.

Configuration Options and OEM/ODM Support

Custom heights and widths are the core of this product, and customer-made sizes are part of normal production rather than an exception. We also take OEM and ODM work: new profiles and styles developed to a customer drawing, project design support for a full signage or fence layout, and coordinated finishing across a package.

Orders ship carton packed, with bulk carton quantities and pallet build agreed at order confirmation. Our products are exported to Canada, the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, so export packing and shipping marks are handled as routine.

The standard build is a 4" x 4" x 82" post, a flat post cap and a 2" x 3-1/2" x 60" rail. Different heights and widths are available, so send the above-grade height you need and the board width you are mounting, and we confirm the post length and rail size for that combination.

Is the sign panel included with the frame?

The frame is supplied as post, flat cap and rail. The sign panel is mounted to the rail, and panel material and fixing hardware are selected to suit the board you are using.

How is the post installed?

Vinyl posts are installed the same way as timber posts. Where it is normal practice in your area to concrete timber fence posts, concrete the vinyl post as well; otherwise excavate, set the post plumb and compact the backfill. The flat cap goes on after the post is standing.

Does the frame need painting or regular maintenance?

No painting is required. The profile is extruded from 100% virgin PVC with UV inhibitors and titanium dioxide at 10 parts per 100, so it resists chalking, cracking, chipping, peeling and rot. A garden hose rinse covers normal cleaning, and a mild abrasive cleaner handles stubborn marks.

Can you produce the frame to our own drawing or brand?

Yes. We welcome OEM and ODM orders, develop new profiles and styles to customer requirements, and accept customer-made sizes. Project design support is available when the sign frame is part of a larger signage or fence layout.
