Colour, height, width, post size and cap style are fixed before the extrusion run, because routing and notching are set to the same drawing. Four colours are held as standard: white, tan, grey and cream.

• Post size — 4 x 4 in for standard residential runs; 5 x 5 in where the run is taller, more exposed, or carries a gate leaf.
• Routing pattern — line, end, corner, 3-way or blank, so the installer does not cut post holes on site.
• Cap profile — New England, flat or gothic, applied after the fence is assembled.
• Rail variant — different rails are available, including handrail profiles, where the run doubles as a railing.

Material Formulation and Climate Behaviour

The HBJ profile is 100% virgin PVC, uncoated, produced as a lead-free formulation. Titanium dioxide and UV inhibitors are part of the compound rather than a surface treatment, which is what keeps colour stable and limits chalking over time. Impact modifiers and stabilisers give the profile the elasticity the lattice and rails need to take handling and wind loading without surface cracking, chipping, peeling or rot.

The material is specified for service from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, and the fence is designed to withstand normal wind loads. Actual performance on a given site depends on the style selected, post embedment and the number and position of horizontal rails — all of which we confirm from the layout drawing before quoting.

Installation Sequence and Site Interfaces

Installation follows the same logic as a wood fence, but with factory routing replacing site cutting. Posts are set first, then rails are inserted into the routed post holes, lattice panels drop into the notched rails, and caps go on last.

1. Set out post centres from the approved layout and confirm gate openings.
2. Excavate and set posts; treat PVC posts as you would wood posts, including cementing where that is local practice.
3. Insert the pre-notched top and bottom rails into the routed post holes.
4. Fit the lattice panel into the rail notches; the aluminium insert stays in the bottom rail.
5. Hang gates, then fit post caps and check alignment along the full run.

It is decorative infill that also contributes to the section's rigidity. The main structural contribution comes from the pre-notched top and bottom rails, with an aluminium insert running inside the bottom rail for commercial-grade strength.

Should a project use 4 x 4 in or 5 x 5 in posts?

Both are produced pre-routed. The 4 x 4 in post suits standard residential runs; the 5 x 5 in post is the usual choice for taller runs, more exposed sites and gate posts, where the additional wall section resists the higher loads at the hinge and latch points.

Can gates be supplied to match the fence?

Yes. Matching gates are available and are built to the confirmed opening width and post spacing, so the gate frame, rails and colour follow the same specification as the fence sections.

What maintenance does the fence need?

A garden hose rinse handles normal dust and pollen. Stubborn marks respond to a cleaner containing a mild abrasive suitable for fibreglass surfaces, and most paint or graffiti can be removed with ordinary detergent and water, a pressure washer, or in difficult cases a paint thinner. The formulation contains no lead and requires no painting, sealing or termite treatment.

How do I start an order or an OEM run?
