We recommend treating PVC posts the same way as wood posts: where local practice calls for cementing wood posts, cement the vinyl posts to the same depth.

Wind performance depends on the style, the post installation and the number of horizontal rails, so the fixing detail is part of the configuration conversation rather than an afterthought. Gates are made to match the fence and are supplied with the hinge side and swing direction set to the opening.
