HFP is an open picket fence rather than a solid privacy wall. Thirteen 7/8" x 6" pickets per 96" section at standard spacing interrupt direct sightlines at standing eye level while keeping air moving across the fence line — the reason it is chosen around pools, courtyards and side yards where a full tongue-and-groove panel would trap heat and block daylight.

At 72" the panel screens a standing adult from the shoulder up; shorter and taller sections are produced to order, so a run can step down at the front of a lot and rise to full screening along a rear boundary without changing the fence style.

Every dimension in the HFP kit has a job. The table below is the standard build we quote from; each line can be adjusted within the limits of the extrusion tooling.

The aluminum insert in the bottom rail is the detail that separates a residential-grade panel from a commercial one. Material Formulation and Weather Performance

HFP profiles are extruded from 100% virgin PVC with no recycled content and no lead-based stabiliser, which is what the lead-free designation refers to. The formulation carries UV inhibitors, impact modifiers and stabilisers alongside the resin, and the raw materials we use are traceable back to their source.

Extrusion, Quality Control and Acceptance

Production runs through extrusion, cutting, drilling, notching, packaging and storage, and each stage is controlled in-house rather than subcontracted. Our quality group inspects every extruder's output hourly and pulls additional random samples through the shift, so wall thickness, colour and notch position are checked while the line is running, not only at final packing.

Installation and Site Interfaces

Posts arrive routed and components arrive precut, so assembly follows the same sequence as a wood fence: set the posts, drop the rails into the routed post holes, insert the pickets into the notched rails, then fit the caps. The heavier wall section and notched rails increase resistance to pullout and give a stronger fastening than a plain butt joint.

• Posts are set in concrete where local practice cements wood posts; 5" x 5" posts are used for gate posts and exposed sites.
• Gate openings need swing clearance and a post that can carry the leaf, so gate positions are fixed before the run is cut.
• Corners, ends and 3-way junctions are resolved at the routing stage, not on site.

Maintenance and Serviceability

Under normal conditions a garden hose rinse is enough. Stubborn marks come off with a mild abrasive cleaner of the type used on fibreglass tubs; graffiti usually lifts with ordinary detergent and water, a pressure washer for heavier cases, and 400 grit sandpaper for the last traces. Nothing on the fence needs repainting or sealing.

Because the system is modular, a damaged picket or rail can be replaced without rebuilding the run, and replacement components are supplied in the same profile and colour as the original order.

Treat vinyl posts the same way as wood posts in your area. Where local practice cements wood fence posts, cement the vinyl posts as well. Gate posts and exposed sites are normally specified with the 5" x 5" post rather than the 4" x 4".

Can gates and caps be matched to the fence run?

Yes. Matching single and double gates are produced in the same profile and colour as the fence, and post caps are available in New England, flat and Gothic profiles so the finished run reads as one system.
